Due to the unprecedented health concerns, no public attendance is allowed in our church until further notice under our diocese and patriarchal recommendations.
Help us Help Others
During this time of need, The Greek Orthodox Churches of Saint Constantine and Helen in Crystal Palace, and Saint Nektarios in Battersea have joined together to support the vulnerable within our Community who need our support. There are people who are self-isolating to preserve their health and to limit passing the infection to others. We hope to provide them with food packages, company and any necessary care or assistance they may require. We are seeking volunteers for our mission, who can deliver goods, home cooked food, specialist care and most importantly company. As well as volunteers, we require donations of store cupboard ingredients such as pasta, rice, pulses and tinned food. We take the responsibility of caring for the vulnerable in our community seriously and will ensure that all our volunteers have received an enhanced DBS check. If you are able to help or donate please contact email@example.com.
Welcome to our church
At the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saint Nektarios, we know that inspiration opens hearts. An open heart is an open mind and an open mind is one that can practice tolerance, experience gratitude and feel the glory of God. It is our belief that God is present in all of us, but His active presence can only be felt through faith in Him. We are dedicated to the service of God and all his people, and our goal is to inspire you through the holiness of our dwelling and our services. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation.
PRAYER BY THE ORTHODOX CHURCH OF AMERICA FOR THE CORONAVIRUS
Let us pray to the Lord
Lord, have mercy.
O God Almighty, Lord of heaven and earth, and of all creation visible and invisible, in thine ineffable goodness, look down upon us, thy people gathered in thy Holy Name. Be our helper and defender in this day of affliction. Thou knowest our weakness. Thou hearest our cry in repentance and contrition of heart. O Lord who lovest mankind, deliver us from the impending threat of the coronavirus. Send thine angel to watch over us and protect us. Grant health and recovery to those suffering from this virus. Guide the hands of physicians and preserve those who are healthy. Enable us to continue to serve our suffering brothers and sisters in peace that together we may glorify thy most honourable and majestic name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
Father Christodoulos Christodoulou
Our congregation comes together before God under the leadership of Father Christodoulos Christodoulou. We’re proud to call Father Chris (AKA FC in some circles) our church leader and a great example for all of our members.
